Improving Cobalt Quality Through Drying, Burning, and Grinding

Cobalt grade increased from 5.8% to 11.4% after drying and thermal processing. Further controlled treatment is targeted to increase the concentration to approximately 15%.

Grinding does not directly increase the total quantity of cobalt. However, a more homogeneous particle size can improve mixing, sampling, separation, and subsequent processing consistency.

The process photographs show that the treated material changes into a grey-to-black granular form. It is processed using industrial equipment and can later be prepared and packed according to the buyer’s requirements.

Results After Burning

According to the Sucofindo report for After Burning Material or Sample 4, the cobalt content increased to 11.4%, while the moisture content decreased to only 0.72%.

The laboratory results show the following changes:

Cobalt content after the drying stage was 5.8%.

Moisture content after the drying stage was 32.2%.

Cobalt content after burning increased to 11.4%.
